About CVBooster and the person who writes it

CVBooster is built and written by one person: Moustafa Tarabya, in Helsinki, Finland. There is no content team and no anonymous byline. Every guide, every role example and every comparison page on this site is written or edited by him, and his name is on all of them.

CVBooster is operated by DT Nova Tmi, a sole trader registered in Finland with business ID 3595452-5, entered in the trade register on 23 January 2026 and VAT registered since 26 March 2026. The same business publishes CVBooster for iPhone on the App Store.

    Who writes this site

Before CVBooster, Moustafa built and ran a home care and IT services company in Lahti, Finland, with seven employees. He hired for it, wrote the job ads, read the applications and sat on the employer side of the table. That is where the opinions on this site come from: what a small employer actually does with a CV in the thirty seconds it gets, rather than what a resume blog says should happen.

He holds a Finnish lähihoitaja qualification from Salpaus in Lahti and has worked in Finnish municipal health services and their IT systems, which is why the Finnish and healthcare material on this site is more specific than the machine-translated versions of it elsewhere.

He works in English and Finnish, and the site is published in seven languages: English, Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Arabic and Finnish.

    Why CVBooster exists

Most resume builders sell a subscription behind a trial that renews at a higher price on a four-weekly cycle, so a year costs far more than the advertised monthly figure suggests. CVBooster does not do that. The score, the before-and-after comparison against a real job posting and the gap list are free after a sign-in with no card. The tailored CV, PDF and DOCX export and the full template set are Pro, at $16.99 a month or $99 a year, cancel any time.

The second reason is honesty about what an ATS score means. No tool on the internet, this one included, is scoring your CV inside the employer’s actual applicant tracking system. A score is a way to find the requirements you have not addressed. Anyone selling it as a prediction of getting an interview is selling you something.

How the content on this site is written

These are the rules the guides are written under, and they are the reason you can check anything on this site:

    • No invented statistics. If a number is not sourced, it is not printed. A batch of AI-written articles was removed from this site in August 2026 for exactly that reason.
    • Competitor prices are read from the competitor’s own pricing page, and the date it was read is printed next to the figure.
    • Published and updated dates are real. They come from the version history of the file the page is built from, not from the day the site was last deployed.
    • Every example CV on the site is a made-up person. None of them is a real applicant and none of them is a customer.
    • Corrections are made on the page itself, and the updated date moves when they are.

    The rest of the work

DT Nova also publishes iOS apps under the same business, and runs VectaAI, a small Finnish software and web practice. CVBooster is the largest of those projects and the one that takes most of the week.
