Rush Resume Template: 6 Sorority Recruitment Samples

A rush resume template is a one-page resume for sorority recruitment that lists your school, grades, activities, service and work in a clean order that a chapter can read quickly. Below are six complete samples for a high school senior, a first-year student, a transfer student and a returning student, checked in November 2026. Copy the closest one, keep the order, and replace every entry with your own. Recruitment rules differ by campus, so check your Panhellenic page for its exact file and length requirements before you send.
Chapters read a lot of these. The resume that gets remembered is not the one with the most clubs, it is the one where each club has a verb and a number next to it.
Example 1: high school senior
Start with school and grades, then the activities that took the most time. Use real numbers: hours, members, money raised.

What campus recruitment pages ask for
The University of Arkansas Panhellenic page on sorority recruitment says "Chapter members will focus heavily on this registration form." It adds: "Your registration form should mirror your resume." So decide your entries once, and use the same wording in both.
The University of Texas at Austin's Panhellenic recruitment FAQ names the contents: "A resume detailing your high school/college involvement, interests, awards received etc." It also notes that reference writers are given a resume, a transcript and pictures, so the resume should be in a format that prints on one page.
Capital University's career office has a set of fraternity and sorority life resume examples, with entries such as New Member Educator and Panhellenic Council Representative. If you are a member of another organization already, use the same style: the role, the dates, then bullets that say what you did.

How to lay it out
- Top. Name, city, email and phone. Leave the photo for the separate headshot slot most portals have.
- Education. School, graduation year, GPA, and rank if it is strong.
- Order. Leadership, activities and service in the order a reader would care about, most time first.
- Bullets. Verb, number, result. Dates for each entry.
- Length. One page, saved as a PDF.
For general resume structure, see the first job resume guide and high school education on a resume. For the student version, see the college freshman resume. If you want help with action verbs, see resume action verbs.
What to leave out
- A long list of clubs with no role. Name your part in each one.
- Social media handles. They are not needed for recruitment.
- Fake hours or invented honors. Chapters check references.
- Elementary school activities. Start from high school.
- A decorated template. A plain one-page layout reads best on a screen.
Frequently asked questions
What is a rush resume?
A one-page summary of your education, activities, service and work that you submit during sorority recruitment. Most campuses ask for it with your registration.
What should a sorority recruitment resume include?
Education and GPA, leadership roles, activities, community service, honors and work history, each with dates.
Should I put a photo on a rush resume?
No. Portals usually collect a headshot separately, so keep the resume text-only.
How long should a rush resume be?
One page. If your campus asks for a specific length or file type, follow that.
What if I have few activities?
List the work you did, family responsibilities, or service hours, and give each a number. A part-time job counts.
