Infusion Nurse Resume: 6 Complete Examples With CRNI Lines
By CVBooster Team · Published · Updated

An infusion nurse resume is judged on three things: how many lines you place and maintain, which therapies you run, and how safely you run them. A nurse manager in an infusion center reads for chair count, patients per day, access types and the drugs you have hung, then looks for CRNI. Below are six complete examples you can copy: a nurse moving into infusion, an outpatient infusion center RN, an oncology infusion nurse, a home infusion nurse, a vascular access nurse and an infusion lead. Swap in your own numbers and keep the shape.
Most IV infusion nurse resumes claim skill in IV therapy. So can every nurse who passed a fundamentals check-off. The line that gets a call names the access device, the drug class and the reaction you caught at minute twelve.
Example 1: RN moving into infusion
You do not need an infusion title to apply. If you have placed peripheral IVs, run blood products and managed central lines on a hospital unit, that is infusion experience. Count it.

What the role covers, and what the certifier counts
O*NET's registered nurse task list includes "Administer medications to patients and monitor patients for reactions or side effects." For an infusion nurse that sentence has three parts worth a bullet each: what you administer, through which access, and what you watch for. Biologics, IVIG, iron, chemotherapy, antibiotics and hydration read very differently to a hiring manager, so name them.
The specialty credential is CRNI, from the Infusion Nurses Certification Corporation. Its 2026 CRNI exam handbook asks applicants for "A current, active, unrestricted registered nurse (RN) license in the United States or Canada" and "A minimum of 1,600 hours of experience in infusion therapy as an RN within the past two years." It adds that "Direct bedside care is not a requirement," so educators and managers in infusion can qualify too.

Where the license and CRNI go
Your RN license sits in the header, with the state and any multistate status. The Nurse Licensure Compact states that "Nurses who live in a compact state can apply for a multistate license if they meet the licensure requirements." Home infusion nurses who cross state lines should say this clearly, because it decides the territory.
CRNI goes after your degree in the name line and again in the header. The INCC handbook says the credential "expires three years later" after it takes effect, so list it as current only while it is. If you are still collecting hours, write nothing yet, or list the exam as scheduled once you have a date. Our certifications for jobs guide shows the formatting.
How to write your own infusion lines
- Name the access. Peripheral, ultrasound-guided PIV, midline, PICC, port, tunneled line.
- Name the therapy. Biologics, IVIG, iron, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, TPN, antibiotics, blood products.
- Give the volume. Patients per day, chairs, visits per day, lines placed per shift.
- Show the safety work. Double checks, reaction management, audits, competency teaching.
- Start with a verb. Administer, place, access, teach, audit. More in our resume action verbs.
For the wider nursing layout, see the nursing resume and RN resume guides. Neighboring roles: oncology nurse and home health nurse resumes, and the PCU nurse resume guide. Pair the resume with a matching nurse cover letter.
Frequently asked questions
What skills go on an infusion nurse resume?
Peripheral and ultrasound-guided IV placement, central line and port care, the therapies you give, reaction management, patient teaching, and the pumps and charting systems you use.
Can I get an infusion job without infusion experience?
Yes, if you show the infusion work you already do on your unit: IV starts per shift, central lines, blood products and IV medications. Lead with those lines.
When should I add CRNI to my resume?
Only after you pass and the credential is in effect. INCC requires infusion hours and an unrestricted RN license before you can sit the exam.
How is a home infusion nurse resume different?
It shows independent visits, territory, patient and caregiver teaching, and coordination with the infusion pharmacy, alongside the access and therapy lines.
Is an infusion nurse resume one page or two?
One page for most early and mid-career nurses, two for long careers or several infusion settings.
